Taabia and Mysha Omar to represent nation in major breakthrough
Two rackets. One dream. And now, a place in history. Taabia and Mysha Omar have become the first players to qualify the UAE for the BWF World Championships - a breakthrough moment for the nation and its fast-rising badminton scene. The sisters will represent the country in Paris this August, as the UAE makes its long-awaited debut on the sport’s biggest annual stage.
The 2025 edition of the tournament will be held at the iconic Adidas Arena from August 25 to 31, bringing together the world’s best players in a global showcase of badminton excellence.
