Tech giant Google will invest $15 billion (Rs1.25 trillion or Dh55 billion) in India over the next five years to build its first-ever gigawatt-scale Artificial Intelligence (AI) hub in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, marking its largest AI investment outside the United States.

Unveiled at the ‘Bharat AI Shakti’ event in New Delhi, the project will feature gigawatt-scale data centre operations, extensive energy infrastructure, and an expanded fibre-optic and subsea network, transforming the southern port city into a new powerhouse for digital innovation.
