Dubai’s temple, gurudwara ready for Diwali

CROWD MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES IN PLACE IN COORDINATION WITH DUBAI POLICE AS 50,000 DEVOTEES EXPECTED
he Hindu temple in Bur Dubai and the Guru Nanak Darbar Gurudwara in Jebel Ali are ready to handle the Diwali rush of devotees today.
Community leaders have put in place comprehensive crowd management strategies in coordination with Dubai Police and and Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority.
The temple drew around 30,000 visitors on Saturday and yesterday. “Today’s celebrations could draw more than 25,000 worshippers,” N Mohan, general manager of the Hindu Temple Dubai, said.
The temple has implemented separate queue systems, with bachelor entries from the basement and family queues at the front entrance. “The RTA has increased the frequency of feeder buses from Energy and Ibn Battuta metro stations,” Mohan said
