NEW STUDY REVEALS THAT NEGATIVE FEELINGS ARE COMMON AMONG WOMEN, YOUNGER DRIVERS
For many motorists across the UAE, daily traffic congestion is not just an inconvenience, it is a significant source of stress, frustration, and anxiety, a new study reveals.
According to research conducted by RoadSafetyUAE and Al Wathba Insurance in June, 86 per cent of drivers regularly experience traffic jams, with 80 per cent noticing worsening congestion compared to 2024.
Nearly half (47 per cent) of respondents say they feel frustrated, annoyed, stressed, or anxious when stuck in traffic.
The study revealed that these negative feelings are especially common among women and younger drivers. While 29 per cent say they have become indifferent or stay calm during jams, and 19 per cent report boredom or restlessness, only 5 per cent enjoy the downtime.
