Delhi teen dies of suicide after year of alleged harassment by teachers

A 16-year-old Delhi schoolboy, Shourya Patil, died by suicide on Tuesday after what, his father told NDTV, was a year of humiliation, threats and public shaming by teachers at St Columba's School.

On his final day, Shourya slipped during a dance practice. Instead of helping him, teachers allegedly mocked him, removed him from the performance and accused him of "overacting". One teacher, his father says, told him: 'Cry as much as you want, it doesn't matter to me'
