China’s southern tech hub Shenzhen is preparing to evacuate 400,000 residents as Super Typhoon Ragasa barrels across the South China Sea, after the monster storm pounded the northern Philippines with ferocious winds and torrential rain yesterday.

Local authorities in Shenzhen announced the relocation of hundreds of thousands of people from coastal and low-lying areas, warning that Ragasa could unleash torrential downpours, storm surges, and flooding.
