Bengaluru-based dog breeder S. Sathish made headlines in early 2023 by claiming to have purchased the world’s most expensive dog — a rare “wolfdog” named Cadabom’s Osami — for Rs500 million.

This hybrid, described as a cross between a wild wolf and a Caucasian Shepherd, was said to be eight months old, weighing over 75kg, and consuming 3kg of raw meat daily.
