Attempt to peddle 3.5m Captagon pills foiled

In a joint operation dubbed 'Bottom of Darkness', Sharjah Police's Anti-Narcotics Department, working with Abu Dhabi Police and the Federal Anti-Narcotics Department at the Ministry of Interior, foiled an attempt to sell more than 3.5 million Captagon pills.

The drugs were targeted at young people.

Brig Majid Sultan Al Asam, Director of the Anti-Narcotics Department at Sharjah Police, said: “The carefully planned operation led to the seizure of around 3.5 million Captagon pills, weighing about 585kg, with a street value of over Dh19 million.”
