Emirate aims to nearly double international visitors to 7.2m by 2030
Abu Dhabi aims to attract 7.2 million international tourists by 2030, nearly doubling the 3.8 million visitors in 2023, backed by a $10 billion Tourism Strategy 2030. Central to this plan is the upcoming Disneyland Abu Dhabi on Yas Island, announced in partnership with Disney.
According to Abdulla Yousuf, Director of International Operations for Abu Dhabi’s Department of Culture and Tourism (DCTAbu Dhabi), the city is also focusing on high-profile events, including concerts and major sports spectacles, besides a Las Vegas Sphere “twin.”
New cultural landmarks like TeamLab Phenomena and future museums in Saadiyat’s Cultural District will enhance appeal, alongside attractions like the Sphere Abu Dhabi and a Warner Bros. Harry Potter experience.
