MBICK'S DOUBLE SEALS WIN FOR BATTLING COLCHESTER
GRIMSBY Town were handed just their third league defeat of the campaign, falling to a 2-1 loss at the hands of Colchester United on a frustrating afternoon at Blundell Park.
Kieran Green had got the Mariners off to a good start with a powerful header from a corner, but Colchester levelled before the break and then nicked another in the second half in a scrappy affair.
David Artell stuck with the same starting 11 that he began with at the very start of the season and has continued to serve him so well thus far, with plenty of great attacking options to come off the bench.
The visitors had a great chance inside the opening minute as George McEachran was dispossessed in the middle of the park.
Teddy Bishop picked up the ball and slid Micah Mbick through on goal, but Christy Pym got down well to save his shot.
