Woolsack racing Shear joy of town as it gets ready for traditional event

A COTSWOLD town is gearing up for its annual event which dates back to the 1600s.
The Tetbury Woolsack Races are set to be held this Bank Holiday Monday. The annual event has been running since the 17th century and sees men and women running up an incredibly steep hill with heavy woolsacks on their backs, all in the name of tradition and fun.
The Tetbury Woolsack Races event starts at 10am on May 26, and runs to around 5pm. The town will have a festival-type atmosphere, with lots of food stalls, live music, entertainment for the children and of course the races themselves.
