Play-off game to be replayed

BISHOP'S Cleeve Development and Winterbourne United were due to replay their Gloucestershire County League promotion play-off game last night (Wednesday).

The sides originally met on May 10 at Oaklands Park, with Hellenic League Division Two West champions Cleeve winning 4-1 over their Bristol Premier Combination opponents.
But Cleeve were accused of fielding an ineligible player - a claim they strenuously deny - but the appeal from Winterbourne was upheld and it was decided the match should be replayed.
The winner will take the final place in the Gloucestershire County League for 2025/26, which will have 17 clubs next season, with three clubs leaving the league and four set to join.
Almondsbury have been promoted to the Western League, while Gala Wilton and Cheltenham Civil Service are relegated to the Gloucestershire Northern Senior League.
Tewkesbury Town are promoted from the NSL, while Cribbs Reserves have been demoted from the Western League and Tytherington Rocks have taken voluntary relegation from the Hellenic League.
