Langford start cup campaign with big win

THREE wickets apiece for Tom Stevens and Olly Holland helped Langford toa 129-run home triumph over Kingston Bagpuize in the Oxfordshire group of the Voneus Village Cup.

The visitors were rushed out for 78 by Stevens (3-17) and Holland (3-26) after opener Jake Romanek (66) earlier top scored in Langford's 207-7.
Langford will now be home to Cumnor in a pool quarter-final on May 11, while in Gloucestershire, Marshfield rushed out Frocester for 94, sealing an six-wicket success, while Painswick had a walkover against Apperley and Winterbourne pulled out of their trip to Bourton Vale.
Rishi Panchal captured 7-32 and followed up by top scoring on 39 as Bristol eased past Basingstoke & North Hants by three wickets in the ECB National Club Championship.
