BUILDING work on a brand new £5m GP surgery in Tetbury is well under way after a traditional turf cutting celebration to mark the start of construction.

Health hopes Work begins on the creation of £5m GP surgery

The new surgery will be built on land west of Worwell Farm and will provide services to over 10,000 patients. It will replace the existing Phoenix Tetbury surgery.

The new GP surgery will offer a range of modern facilities designed to enhance patient care and convenience. A total of 16 clinical consulting rooms will ensure a higher number of patient consultations and treatments, helping to reduce waiting times and improve the overall patient experience.

For those driving to the surgery, there will be 56 car parking spaces available.

Dr Angus McMyn, GP Partner at Phoenix Health Group, said: "We are really pleased that work on our new surgery at Worwell Farm is finally getting underway and are very much looking forward to watching the building take shape over the coming months."

"We have been working hard with our development partner Stonewood Homes Ltd to construct an attractive, modern, environmentally friendly building that is accessible to our patients and creates positive impacts on the surrounding natural environment."
