Demolition Exeter embarrassed by Gloucester in 13-try thrashing
Gloucester Citizen
|May 01, 2025
GLOUCESTER ran in a remarkable 13 tries in a scintillating attacking display to embarrass Exeter with a 79-17 victory at Kingsholm.

The Cherry and Whites have never scored more points in the Premiership, that despite six missed conversions, while Exeter have never conceded as many in a defeat.
Gloucester had nine different try scorers with Jack Singleton recording a hat-trick and Seb Atkinson two, while Jack Clement, Seb Blake, Lewis Ludlow, Chris Harris, Gareth Anscombe, Tomos Williams, Jamal Ford-Robinson and Christian Wade also crossed the whitewash.
The victory keeps the Cherry and Whites in the race for the play-offs, sitting a point behind fourth-placed Bristol with three rounds remaining.
For all the razzle-dazzle of the home side’s backline, this performance was built on a foundation of brilliant fundamentals and an overwhelming power game with the maul.
Gloucester were off and running inside six minutes, putting Exeter under pressure through their all-court running game that led to them securing an attacking lineout, from which Clement crashed over.
