GREEN WHEELS
|November 17, 2025 to November 23, 2025
A groundbreaking geological study has revealed that the Himalayas are still actively evolving, challenging the long-held belief that the mountain range was formed solely by an ancient tectonic collision.
The research shows that the Indian Plate, which pushed against the Eurasian Plate around 50 million years ago, continues to crack, bend, and shift deep within the Earth, suggesting that the collision's aftershocks are far from over. Using advanced 3D seismic imaging, scientists discovered that the Indian Plate is not moving as a single unit. Instead, it is fracturing and twisting beneath Tibet, particularly in the Yadong-Kona-Sangri rift
