New leader needed to brighten future

Following a difficult season for Welton Rovers, and their impending relegation to Division One of the Jewson Western League, the club is looking to rebuild for the coming season and this will begin at the very top.

Having advertised for managers positions for the both the first and second teams recently, alongside the position of a bar manager in the clubhouse, Welton are now also on the lookout for a chairperson to take the helm and lead the club into anew era.

Following a tumultuous couple of campaigns on and off the pitch, Welton are a club desperate to find some stability.

Having narrowly avoided dropping out of the Western League altogether last season, Welton - believed to be the eldest club in the league - face another wait this summer to see if someone can come on board and turn their fortunes around.

The chairperson will be responsible for taking a lead on running the club and hit it fits in with the wider community. They will be a skilled administrator with a business background and an ability to problem-solve necessary tasks to the relevant committee members.

Ideally, they will live within easy commuting distance to the club and will be a figurehead and ambassador for Welton, chairing and leading meetings within the club and documenting and circulating its actions.
