Frome Standard
|October 02, 2025
A new countryside retreat with a range of restaurants, sports and more has opened in the Mendips.

Mad Swans, which opened yesterday (Wednesday), offers eco-cabin stays, two restaurants, 12-hole golf, padel and pickleball, a driving range, putt patch, augmented reality darts and shuffleboard just outside Midsomer Norton.
The retreat, which sits in the verdant heart of Somerset at Farrington Gurney, is about half an hour from Bath and Bristol by car. The golf course is designed for everyone from beginners to pros.
