'Modi has all the hallmarks of a great leader'

I have got the opportunity to meet PM Narendra Modi quite a few number of times and the greatest thing about him I have felt and realised is that he makes you feel comfortable.

Whenever you meet him and talk to him, he makes you feel at home. You are not overpowered by the presence of the country’s prime minister as is usually supposed to happen when you meet such an important personality. He is so homely and friendly with all that you never feel alienated or inferior when he is around. He never makes you feel so. That is the hallmark of a great leader. You can discuss anything with him that comes to your mind and he will strike a conversation with you. He is very casual and informal in his approach that makes things that much less intimidating for the guest. Hence, one can open up and speak his mind before him. One never feels cornered or hemmed in when meeting him. He becomes that person’s very own and there is a familial vibe that he generates. Even as Gujarat chief minister he was the same and after being the PM of the country, he still remains the same. Friendly, amicable and welcoming. After Modi was re-elected prime minister in 2024, I sent a congratulatory WhatsApp message to his secretary’s number. You won’t believe it, I got a reply from the prime minister himself. I didn’t send him any formal letter or e-mail and didn’t even expect a reply. It was just a WhatsApp message, and that too to his secretary. Only that it was addressed to the PM to greet him on being elected the PM again. And you look at the response. This is unbelievable.
