Bikaner jail inmates launch retail venture

In a pioneering move aimed at prisoner rehabilitation and reintegration, Bikaner Central Jail on Tuesday formally inaugurated a retail outlet at 'Masala Chowk' where products crafted by inmates will now be available for public purchase.
The initiative was jointly inaugurated by District and Sessions Judge Atul Saxena, DIG Prisons Suman Maliwal, District Collector Namrata Vrishni and SP Kavendra Singh Sagar. They lauded the jail administration’s innovation and encouraged inmates towards self-reliance and skill development.
