Modi pitches stability as firms commit to state

PRIME MINISTER NARENDRA Modi on Sunday said India is passing through a phase of unprecedented certainty and political stability at a time when the global economy is facing prolonged uncertainty, positioning the country as a dependable destination for long-term investment.
"Amid great global uncertainty, we are witnessing an era of unprecedented certainty in India. Today, India has political stability and continuity in policies," Modi said after inaugurating the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) for the Kutch and Saurashtra regions in Rajkot.
He said India is the world's fastest-growing large economy and is steadily moving towards becoming the thirdlargest economy. Alongside infrastructure creation, he added, building an industryready workforce remains one of the country's biggest requirements.
