INMOBI SUBSIDIARY GLANCE, which provides lockscreen engagement and monetisation solutions, launched an AI-based commerce platform in 140 countries on Thursday to provide its users personalised shopping recommendations based on their preferences and occasions.
The firm expects to onboard 100 million users onto the platform — Glance AI — in the first year, with nearly half of them coming from India, where Glance has a significant presence through its partnerships with smartphone makers.
Besides India, the platform is expected to gain initial traction in markets such as the US and Japan, said Naveen Tewari, founder and chief executive officer (CEO), InMobi and Glance.
