Exports May Face Higher Tariffs in US Despite Deal

The stand the US is taking in its negotiations with key partners suggests that even if an interim trade agreement with India is finalized, Indian exports will still be subject to higher duties than those that existed prior to the introduction of reciprocal tariffs on April 2. Meanwhile, New Delhi may end up significantly reducing import duties on American goods, according to a new report.
