Company says EV output in Aug to be 50-60% due to rare earth issue
BAJAJ AUTO on Wednesday reported a 13.8% year-on-year increase in its consolidated net profit for the April-June quarter to ₹2,210 crore, higher than Bloomberg consensus estimate of ₹2,064 crore. Revenues from operations came in at 10.1% higher (₹13,133 crore), also better than Street estimate of ₹12,313 crore.
Revenue growth was driven by a resurgence in exports, an increase in share of premium motorcycles in the sales mix, doubling of electric Chetak volumes, and the commercial vehicle segment.
The company recorded an Ebitda of ₹2,793 crore for the quarter, 17.8% higher than the year-ago period. The consolidated Ebitda margin was at 21.3% compared to 19.9% in Q1FY25. The average realisation rose from ₹1,10,000 to ₹1,13,000 during the quarter.
