Why do CXOs love this car?

Driving top variant of E-Class in Delhi's new business district

FOR ONCE, driving a ₹1 crore car felt average. I was hotel-hopping in the Aerocity business district of New Delhi, to attend a global business conference, in the Mercedes-Benz E-Class (a media test car) and I observed that every fourth or fifth car was an E-Class. That's how popular it is with CXOs.

Over the next two days, I talked to four CXOs from that conference, who said that the E-Class is their favourite car. Here are the reasons:

LWB: The E-Class sold in India is a Long Wheelbase (LWB) model – almost as spacious as the previous-generation S-Class. "The cabin looks beautiful during the day, and sexy at night (with its ambient lights). Rear seats have a comfortable pillow (headrest), armrest with a wireless charger, can be reclined up to 36 degrees, and have 40-mm thigh extension. It's the best place to sleep or work," said one of them, who gets driven in the E 200 LWB.
