The escalation in the Israel-Iran conflict took a toll on the rupee on Friday, with the currency falling as much as 59 paise to ₹86.20 against the dollar. However, it recovered marginally to close at a two-month low of ₹86.09, down 49 paise—the steepest decline in over a month.
