India, EU renew pledge to finalise FTA at the earliest

GOYAL MEETS EU TRADE COMMISSIONER IN BRUSSELS
INDIA AND THE European Union (EU) on Friday renewed their commitment to expedite the conclusion of a balanced and ambitious free trade agreement (FTA) between them.
Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal met European Union (EU) Trade Commissioner Maros Sefcovic in Brussels, and discussed the key aspects of the pact and progress made in bilateral talks.
"During this dialogue, we deliberated across key areas of the proposed agreement. We reaffirmed our commitment to a rules-based trading framework and a modern economic partnership that safeguards the interests of farmers and MSMEs while integrating Indian industries into global supply chains," Goyal posted on X.
