Avenue Supermarts Q4 profit slips 2%, revenue rises 17%

AVENUE SUPERMARTS, WHICH operates the D-Mart chain of stores, reported a surprise fourth-quarter decline in net profit, even as revenue rose 17%.
The profit decline came amid higher competition in FMCG, wage cost pressures, and ongoing investments in service levels.
The retailer saw consolidated net profit fall 2% year-on-year to ₹551 crore for Q4 of FY25, coming below street estimates of ₹630 crore.
