OLA ELECTRIC RECLAIMED the top spot in electric two-wheeler (E2W) sales in April, after slipping behind Bajaj Auto and TVS Motor in March.
OLA ELECTRIC RECLAIMED the top spot in electric two-wheeler (E2W) sales in April, after slipping behind Bajaj Auto and TVS Motor in March. The Bengaluru-based EV maker sold 11,330 units, accounting for 23% of total electric two-wheelers sold so far this month.
However, Ola's volumes are not strictly comparable with other original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) as the registration numbers may include backlogs from February and March. The company has been under scrutiny from the Ministry of Heavy Industries over discrepancies between its sales reported in February and the registrations recorded on the government's Vahan portal. While Ola had claimed sales of 25,000 units with a 28% market share in February, Vahan data showed only 8,653 registered units.
