LAST WEEK, LOGISTICS firm Delhivery approved the acquisition of at least a 99.4% stake in Ecom Express Ltd. (an unlisted company) for a cash consideration of up to ₹1407 crore. Ecom Express is the fourth-largest e-commerce express parcel service provider in India, with estimated revenue of ₹2600 crore in FY24 and a market share of approximately 8-10%, according to HSBC estimates. In FY24, Delhivery's express parcel business was approximately 1.7 times larger in terms of shipments and 2.2 times larger in terms of revenue compared to Ecom Express.
