Windies stars picks of draft as Spirit hope to rise again

LONDON SPIRIT have put their hopes of a first Hundred title in the hands of superstar overseas talent, after snapping up Andre Russell, Shimron Hetmyer and Meg Lanning in last night's draft.
Spirit's women's side have never qualified for the play-off stage, while the men were third in 2022 but disappointed in finishing last and second-last in the seasons either side. The Lord's-based outfit, however, looked to have emerged from the draft at The Shard with significantly upgraded rosters.
