Underperforming stars were killing Arsenal, says Edu

ARSENAL technical director Edu today hit out at the previous highly-paid players who were underperforming and "killing" the club.
The Gunners have been revamping their squad ever since Mikel Arteta was appointed in December 2019 and that has continued this summer, with former Manchester City stars Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko among those joining.
The Gunners have also shifted several players in that time, with some of the players having their contracts mutually terminated. That list includes Mesut Ozil (right) and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and Edu has opened up on how they got "comfortable" on high wages.
