Netflix raises a glass to Bridgerton after sign-ups soar

A FLURRY of new hit shows including the latest season of Bridgerton, left, and drama Baby Reindeer helped Netflix storm past market expectations and add eight million subscribers in the three months to June.
The results handed the streaming giant its second-best-ever first half, beaten only by a boom in 2020 when pandemic lockdowns led to millions of extra sign-ups.
