Scotland's best honoured by Royal Society of Edinburgh

A group of the brightest minds in Scotland were honoured by the Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE) on Wednesday this week.
Some of the team from the Leverhulme Research Centre for Forensic Science at the University of Dundee, with director Professor Niamh Nic Daéid FRSE (third from left)
Ten individuals from disciplines such as medicine, disease research, marine biology, law, astrophysics, and machine learning attended a reception at the RSE on George Street to receive their awards.
They were joined by the team of the Leverhulme Research Centre for Forensic Science at the University of Dundee, lead by director Professor Niamh Nic Daéid FRSE as they were collectively awarded the Mary Somerville Medal.
