Super Saints clean up at annual accolades

Saints swept the board at the Stewartry Sports Awards ceremony on Friday night-winning the three accolades they were nominated for.
Raymond Gordon, St Cuthbert Wanderers FC’s coach with the Under 17's and the first team, won the service to sport award; Naomi Cowan, coach with the Under 15’s and the First Team won the Sports Coach of the Year; and the highly-talented Under 17 Saints Youth squad won Team of the Year.
The club's chairman, Ian McIntyre, was delighted for them all. Congratulating them, he said: “This thoroughly well earned recognition comes on the back of another award Raymond won earlier this year, Volunteer Coach of the Year for South West Scotland. Raymond has dedicated all his spare time to the club for over 30 years.
“Naomi has been at the club for a couple of seasons and is highly regarded as a coach and has ambitions to coach at the highest level.
