'Luxury' HMO plan for former Indian restaurant building

COUNCIL CONSIDERS DOVER ROAD SCHEME
AN empty takeaway will be turned into a “luxury” seven-bedroom house in multiple occupation (HMO) if new plans are approved.
Proposals have been submitted to Folkestone and Hythe District Council to transform the former Shupria Indian restaurant in Dover Road, including the flat above the premises.
The takeaway's Facebook page states it was established in 1987, but it is now permanently closed. It is not known when exactly it shut, but it was inspected by council food hygiene officers in May last year, receiving a rating of three stars out of a possible five.
