Children's play facilities re-open after £34k upgrade project

CHILDREN in Deal can now enjoy upgraded play facilities at Travers Road following the completion of a £34,000 renovation, as part of a wider £180,000 investment in play areas across the Dover district.

The new-look park was officially opened on Friday, May 9, by Dover District Council chairman Cllr Gordon Cowan, and features a jungle-themed multi-play unit, a basket swing, and a new roundabout.
The makeover at Travers Road is the first of three play area upgrades planned across the district.
Renovations are also under way at Marke Wood play area in Walmer and The Bulwarks in Sandwich, both of which are set to open in the coming weeks.
