THE AGE OLD debate over what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object continues on Saturday when the SA Cup defending champions, the Suzuki Griquas, sitting on top of the table with a massive points difference of 227, takes a trip down to Welkom to take on the undefeated NovaVit Griffons on Saturday.
Griquas have continued to solidify their position as the top team in the SA Cup after last week's outstanding 118-3 victory over the Border Bulldogs in East London. The defending champions were relentless and impressive, scoring 18 tries and keeping their opponents at bay with an impenetrable defensive wall.
Gurshwin Wehr's four tries and a conversion earned him the Player of the Match award. This means that he has thus far scored seven tries after his hat-trick the week before while on debut against the Valke. Meanwhile, Dylan Maart and Gustav du Rand each scored three tries to further strengthen the team's dominance.
