Wide range of free agents looking to find themselves a club

THREE MORE FORMER BREWERS HAVE JOINED PFA SQUAD OF HOPEFULS
THREE more former Burton Albion players have popped up on the latest list of free agent footballers training together and playing friendlies for the Professional Footballers’ Association preseason squad.
Kane Hemmings and Sam Lavelle were among the first-named intake previously and as the squad reaches week three, Anthony Forde, who was with Burton on a short-term deal last season, former winger Alex MacDonald and goalkeeper Jamal Blackman have appeared on the list.
All are hoping to replicate the preseason they would have had if they were contracted to clubs with the hope that they can attract attention from clubs looking for a bargain.
While it is unlikely that any of those named who were once with the club will be joining again, there is no doubt that somewhere along the way, Brewers boss Gary Bowyer and the recruitment team will pick someone up from the long list of free agents out there - perhaps if they are thwarted in the hunt for targets already on their list.
Let's take a look at some of the more interesting names on the PFA list not that we're suggesting any have been linked to Albion.
Hakeeb Adelakun: The London-born winger is still only 29 but seems to have been around a long time.
He played 169 times for his first club, Scunthorpe United, when they were still a team to be reckoned with in League One and League Two, between 2012 and 2018.
A step up to the Championship with Bristol City did not work out and he had loans with Rotherham United and Rotherham United.
