Time to ignore the thoughts of artificial intelligence as this pub is not like its review

Inside, it's all as you'd expect. Early on a Thursday afternoon, you had city folk gathered in the bar area - all seemingly familiar with one another - and the lounge area to the rear was ticking over with a few drinkers.

It was the eve of Halloween, so it was nice to see spiders, pumpkins and all things spooky draped along the walls, and it seems they have plenty of karaoke and lively events taking place over the course of the week to celebrate.

I made my way to the bar in one piece, something that was deemed almost impossible by some of the angry reviewers online, and had a quick browse. I probably didn’t need to tell you this, but if you’re expecting hip IPAs and obscure ales from who knows where, it’s not for you.

A pretty standard lineup of Red Stripe, Coors, Stella, Carling and Madri were on draught, as well as Worthington’s, John Smiths, Abbots and Guinness.
