THE team running a critically-acclaimed pub in a rural Derbyshire village has shared a sad message confirming plans to close in the New Year.
The Druid Inn pub in Birchover, a small village a few miles west of Matlock, announced the closure with a “heavy heart” on Tuesday, adding that they were “gutted” at the decision.
They said the decision had been made by owners, the Stanton Estate, and added that it will be a “tough December” for staff to get through.
