Predator jailed for nine years after attacking sleeping victim

RAPIST FILMED OFFENCE AND TOLD WOMAN

A MAN has been jailed after he filmed himself raping a sleeping woman.

Parry Bains carried out the attack in October 2022, and afterwards told the woman what he had done. It later came to light he had filmed it, and the incident was reported to the police.

He was subsequently charged with rape in September 2023. He denied the offence but was found guilty after a trial at Derby Crown Court in October.

The 26-year-old, of Westacre Drive, Church Gresley, appeared at the same court for sentencing on November 7, when he was jailed for nine years.

He has also been handed a restraining order preventing him from having any further contact with the woman.
