STAR OF TV'S GAME OF WOOL TO OPEN HABERDASHERY AT CRAFTY ATTIC IN BURTON TOWN CENTRE
A DERBY TV star will unveil a new specialist wool shop and haberdashery as knitters are encouraged to support a neonatal appeal.
Stephanie Thompson, who can be seen on Tom Daley's Channel 4 show Game of Wool: Britain's Best Knitter, will be in Burton on Saturday, December 6, to officially open the Crafty Attic.
The venue is located above Helen's Bakehouse and Tearooms in Market Place, and the event will take place from noon to 2pm.
Game of Wool, which is on the hunt to find Britain’s top knitter, chose from thousands of contestants to take part in the first of its kind show.
Stephanie, 65, runs online business coaching service Stephanie Thompson Coaching, and is a self-confessed “knitting nut from Derby”.
The Crafty Attic is also supporting the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton’s neonatal knitting appeal, and are calling on knitters to get involved by creating hats, bonding blankets, socks and cardigans which can be used to help the premature baby unit.
