Funeral firm chips in £7k to help rare condition support

AN East Midlands funeral directors has raised thousands of pounds for a national charity which supports individuals impacted by a rare medical condition.

AW Lymn's recent charity golf day raised more than £7,000 for We are Alex, The Leukodystrophy Charity (Alex TLC).
This means more than £13,000 has been raised in the last two years by the fifth-generation family funeral directors, who serve communities in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire.
There was record attendance at this year's event, with 18 teams participating, and the tournament was followed by a fundraising auction.
