Cop show star: 'Intimidating' Peak District is like a character

ACTOR SAYS VIEWERS IN FOR A TREAT AS NEW SHOW IS FILMED IN NATIONAL PARK

A NEW detective show set in Derbyshire starts next week, with one of its stars revealing that the Peak District setting “feels like a character itself”.

Downton Abbey favourite Robert James-Collier and Doctor Who star Mandip Gill star in the title roles of Cooper and Fry, a four-part drama based on the bestselling novels of Stephen Booth.

Four of Booth's early works are being brought to the screen in the show: Black Dog, Dying to Sin, Blind To the Bones and Dancing with the Virgins.

Robert and Mandip will play Ben Cooper and Diane Fry, two contrasting investigators who must collaborate to solve a series of puzzling fatalities.
