WP slay Dragons at home

DANIEL Smith produced a stunning display of power hitting to lead Western Province to a four-wicket win over the North-West Dragons in their Cricket South Africa T20 Challenge clash at Newlands yesterday.

The 23-year-old klapped a blistering 80 off just 26 balls, helping his span chase down a target of 187 with 19 balls to spare in their first home game of the tournament.

The Dragons had earlier posted 186/5 after being asked to bat, thanks to strong contributions from Diego Rosier (73 off 38 balls) and Ludwich Schuld (61 off 40).
