COPS across the Kaap made multiple arrests and confiscations during weekend operations, targeting drugs and illegal firearms, with busts reported in Belhar, Strand and Athlone.

During an intelligencedriven operation on Friday in Kanala Lane, Extension 13, Belhar, police received info that a suspect at a premise in the street was allegedly involved in a shooting that occurred in Belhar.
A police spokesperson, Captain FC van Wyk, said: "The members searched the premises and found a 9mm blank pistol with one blank round of ammunition.
