BLITZBOK coach Philip Snyman was the proudest man in the Sports Illustrated Stadium on Sunday after South Africa claimed the SVNS New York title, as well as being crowned overall winners for the SVNS Series.
The Blitzboks team edged out Fiji 10-7 in an enthralling final to cap an action-packed weekend in the first-ever tournament in the Big Apple.
Captain Impi Visser, playing his 50th tournament, sent Gino Cupido racing clear for the opening try and Tristan Leyds added a second before Terio Veilawa got Fiji back into the game to set up a tense finale.
