FRESH off a plane from Europe, Ime Okon is embracing a fresh start with Bafana Bafana, determined to make the most of his latest opportunity after overcoming an untimely setback.
The 22-year-old defender, currently on the books of Hannover in the second tier of German football, returns to the national setup after missing out on the previous camp due to injury - a frustration that briefly halted his international progress.
Having made his debut during the Cosafa Cup in June last year, Okon had already caught the attention of coach Hugo Broos, who recently confirmed the technical team had been monitoring him closely.
