THE Proteas delivered a diep swak display in the first T20 against India yesterday, an alarming sign with the T20 World Cup just seven games away.
South Africa were humbled by 101 runs — their heaviest defeat in the format — after being dismissed for a record-low 74 in only 12.4 overs while chasing India’s 175/6.
The tone was set early when Quinton de Kock edged Arshdeep Singh’s second ball, sparking a collapse from which the tourists never recovered.
